Personally Instagram is that app where if I could only save one, it’d be the gram! I love taking and editing pictures, chatting to people and I’ve even made friends through the gram! So it really felt fitting when an Instagram Series idea popped into my head, because I have quite a lot of tips and tricks stored away! Have you always wondered how people have such professional Instagram stories? I’ve done all the research for you and compiled it all into a list of hacks!
If you’re a blogger, you’ll probably always want to know the most professional way to promote your blog as a brand, sleeker editing, better stories, etc… So lets get into some hacks!
Unfold is one of my favourite apps at the moment! For the basic app it is free, then you can pay to have more layouts available. It helps you create such amazing looking Instagram stories, you can also plan out a whole series of stories and then post them consecutively so theres no big gaps inbetween.
These stories were all created using Unfold – this sort of shows the kind of thing I’d do to promote my latest blogpost so we have a sneak preview, the time it’ll be live a now live post – so a call to action and finall a little sort of reveal post!
Onto the Instagram hacks themselves!
If you’re wanting to post a sneak peek of something you can add a transparent layer of colour to your images. First of all upload/take your image as normal, then select the pencil tool, then the highlighter tool (2nd options in on both the consecutive menus), then select your colour and hold down on the screen and there you go!
You can also use the erase tool to reveal certain elements, add a patern etc…
This next hack is all about colour, I thought this was quite widely known but I have spoken to a few people and they knew nothing of it! So obviously we have the ink dropper tool to grab any colour, but theres also an entire colour wheel! If you hold down on a colour icon it’ll bring it up:
I really love this tool! Most of the time I do stick to my trusty pink but it’s so handy to know that this is an option!
A hack I like to use which isn’t for decor purposes is to use a tonne of hashtags and mention a handful of relevant brands – ink dropper tool it to the colour of my background then make it super small. So it is kind of hidden but still reaches a wider audience without ruining your aesthetics!
If you can see the lines in the top right corner of this image, that is all hashtags and mentions.
Although there aren’t too many hacks in here – I am going to end it before the post gets too long! I have so many more so if you want a part two please do let me know and I will definitely get it up for you!
Also is there anything else you want to see in my Blogger Series? Again just let me know!
See you all tomorrow with another post!
