Most bloggers are naturally desperate to grow their platforms, which I don’t blame them – the hours of planning, producing and then promoting even though you love it you want to see people enjoying the work you spent hours on. Here are my main tips for blog growth!

So if you are wanting to boost your blog then here are my top tips for blog growth:
First of all you want consistency within the site, a well put together layout, which doesn’t have to cost. Make sure it is easy to navigate and that you include your social medias somewhere along the lines. If you make it easy for the viewer they will do it, if they have to invest time and search nine times out of ten they’ll just leave it.
Once you’ve organised your layout, your content is the next big step. Images grab people’s attention, would you rather read a magazine stylewell put together site or a 700 word paragraph of text? Think about what you look for on other sites and implicate that onto your own.
For example, I love bloggers who include images in their posts, more than you think don’t do so and personally, I just don’t read unless it’s a short update. Why talk about a product I can’t see? If you’d like to see how I take and edit both my Instagram and my blog images. Mine most definitely aren’t at the level I’d like them to be but I am definitely happy with what is put out there!
InTheFrow is a creator who’s content I adore! Always super polished and amazing quality!
Onto the writing itself, find your own writing style and stick with it in each post – this will most likely happen naturally, I found mine over a year into blogging and it has been with me ever since. This will mean that your readers will know what style and format to expect and it’ll be personal to your blog – if people copy it people will know, and it won’t click with the style of their blog. This also helps to provide consistant quality from the content.
People won’t know you exist unless you tell them, social media under your sites name is the first place to start! As soon as a post goes live get it tweeted out, and shared on your Instagram – also don’t be afraid to share old posts; if it’s still relevant share it!
For example, this post was one of the first posts I did in August, but I posted another promotional image yesterday and promoted my August posts!
However, don’t just fill these platforms with promotion after promotion – tell people what you are up to, ask for their opinions, etc… create a bond and as you go you will actually find friendships which is just an added bonus. The main idea behind this is if you don’t know someone you tend not to care what their favourite shampoo is!
You don’t have to live on social media for this to happen either, you can schedule posts through apps on your phone which is so much easier! Personally I use Twitter to schedule my blogpost promotion tweets so they go live whilst I’m out and about, other tweets I write as and when. For Instagram I use UNUM which doesn’t post on your behalf but it does let you organise your images; so I can see my upcoming feed forming and I know when I’m running out of images to post!
These form a great combination to really boost your profiles and reach as many people as you can! Also never forget to use hashtags and make the most of retweeting accounts to widen your audience and also discover some great new blogs to follow yourself!
I hope this gave you some guidance into growing your blog! Make sure to read the other posts in my blogger series – here – and I will see you soon!
